| A lovely piano study piece invoking two contrasting moods. The opening wistful 8 bars in C major is followed by a frenetic and challenging quasi-Beethoven section which quickly sequences through several keys (Cm/Gm/Dm/Am/Em/Bm etc.) before returning to the beautiful melody in C major for the final 32 bars. This would serve as an ideal recital piece. |
